About Acupuncture

Acupuncture
  • At nearly 5,000 years old, Acupuncture is one of the oldest successfully practiced medical systems in the world.

  • Its relevance today is evidenced in the numerous studies showing acupuncture's ability to treat physical as well as emotional conditions.

  • The practice of Aupuncture includes the use of pressure, heat, cupping, scraping, massage, and the insertion of solid, sterile single use hair thin needles into specific points on the body to remove blockages.  This allows blood, fluids, energy, and emotions to move more freely.

  • Acupuncture helps the body begin to heal itself by releasing the body's natural pain killers, anti inflammatory and feel good chemicals.

Community Acupuncture
  • Treating in a Community Setting allows the practitoner to treat a number of people at one time thus reducing the cost of treatment to the patient.

  • People are treated in one room sitting in chairs or recliners.  Treatment usually lasts approximately 30 minutes.

  • Receiving acupuncture in a community setting is healing to the individual and the community as well.

  • We do not offer regular Community Acupuncture at this time.  Please call for more information.

I simply don’t have enough great things to say about Kathy’s perception, sensitivity and skills as a practitioner.   Week by week I could feel things moving and shifting for me.

Kathy offers knowledge, a safe environment and an open, honest approach to my health and whole being that allows me to relax, share and trust. She listens intently as I describe where I am in my journey and develops sessions that help with both immediate and long-term issues.

I've been a client of Kathy's for about four months. I have spent the past 3 years with horrible migraines and have been treated at Dartmouth. In June I decided to give this a shot . For several weeks I'm headache free but most of all medicine free. She has moved on to treat some very painful bursititis with success, and been a great support team through difficult circumstances and loss of my mother .
